The first day of the 2016 Graham Hall Team Race was chilly, with overcast skies and temperatures in the 40s. The wind came form the northeast all day and was very puffy and shifty. In all 84 races were completed.
Sunday was even colder, with the wind still puffy and shifty form the northeast. The initial round robin completed at around noon and we split the fleet up into top 6, middle 6 and bottom 4 groups for another set of round robins. A final four was attempted, but only two of the three flights were completed before the 3PM cutoff time and the round robin was abandoned. Congratulations to Georgetown for winning the 2016 Graham Hall Team Race. We never would have been able to pull the event off without the help of a great group of volunteers. Dave Schoene, Juliet Thompson, Kyle Assad and Catherine Pelo served on the Race Committee while ChUmp Rob Overton and his umpire team of Doc Sullivan, Larry Sill, Andrew Cole, Pat Healy, Jeff Borland, Richard Born, Gina Henderson, Brady Stagg, David Clinnin and Derrick Lynch settled all protests on the water and kept things fair.
