Three of the ten races were sailed in a light northerly in the ‘The Marsh’ with A division in Z420s and B sailing FJs. The incoming sea breeze led to a lunch break followed by an afternoon sailing on Crab Bank. Seven races were completed in flat water and a consistent 5-10 knots. Divisions will switch fleets tomorrow. No breakdowns or protests were filed.
Four races were completed on Crab Bank in a sea breeze around 8 knots that increased to 16 knots throughout the day. Teams had a chance to substitute crews as the breeze became more consistent. Rachel Dryer and Hannah Scanlon lifted the Rams over the Hoyas by two points after a perfect last set. Congratulations to the University of Rhode Island for winning the 2016 Charleston Women’s Regatta. Thank you to Sam Stokes ‘12 for hearing a breakdown which was disallowed. Thank you to Greg Fisher for running the races and the team of Cougars for helping manage a great event. No protests were filed.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
