Sailors headed out to Crab Bank this morning in a light NE wind. Race 1 was completed while races 2 & 3 were abandoned. A short postponement ensued before a light SE wind filled in. Race 2 was restarted and racing continued through race 71. The wind was very shifty at first before settling in at 8-12 knots. Racing will continue tomorrow with hopes of completing rounds 2 and 3.
Crab Bank presented some excellent conditions again for today's racing. The wind was shifty from the ESE. The RC did a great job of completing the 2nd round and then running a round of six at the same time as a double Final Four, for a total of 117 races. A huge Thank You to what was no doubt the best group of Umps we have ever had at the Bob! Chief Ump Stephen Wrigley lead the team along with Jeff Borland, Kathy Lindgren, Michael Lindgren, Peter Johns, Rob Overton & Samuel Stokes. Thank you to all of the teams who came and competed this weekend. Thanks to Greg Fisher, Ned Goss, and all of the Cougar undergrads who ran a great event. Congratulations to the Georgtown Hoyas for edging out the Charleston Cougars for the win.
