Day 1 of the 2016 Admiral's Cup started with pockets of rain and a light Northerly. Sailors left the dock right after the competitors meeting with a building breeze. Race 1A started in our new fleet of Z420's at 1000. We had winds ranging from 8-12 knots in the morning where we completed 6 races in each division. After a quick lunch break we started race 7A around 1400. The wind died a bit and we had a short wind delay before race 8 and then magically the northerly was back and stayed the rest of the day.
There were two protests and one redress filed 1 resulting in a DSQ, 1 disallowed for improper filing procedure and redress given for a boat taking on water due to a hole discovered on shore after race 6B.
Thank you to John Vandemoer and Zach Runci for hearing the protests.
Tomorrow A division will sail FJ's, B Division will sail Z420's and C will sail Lasers. Race 11A will start at 0945!
Thank you to KP Waterfront Midshipmen for helping run the event.
KP Sunday today. We were able to get one race off in a light northerly before it died. We sent the fleet in for a shoreside postponement. Around 1300 the northerly started to fill again and it looked promising. After the start of race 12A the wind died again and went sent the regatta in. Called it for the day at 1406.
Thank you to the KP Waterfront teams for helping with regatta management.
Have a great rest of the season!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
