Sailors were greeted by a windless Chester River but by 1100 races had begun in a very light breeze out of the Southwest. By the end of the day, the wind had picked up to 10-12 kts and shifted to the Northwest. 30 races were completed and no protests were filed.
Conditions on Sunday morning were better than those on Saturday morning, allowing racing to begin by 9:45. Races were completed in a shifty Northwest breeze ranging from 5-12 kts. Fifteen more races were sailed allowing the completion of three round robins and an early finish for the competitors. One protest was heard, resulting in a DSQ. Congratulations to the George Washington University Colonials for winning the Washington College Team Race!
A big thank you to those on the WAC Sailing Team for hosting an almost entirely student-run regatta. Also, thank you to Boathouse director Ben Armiger for making the Washington College Boathouse and Pavilion available to racers and spectators alike.
