Racing got underway shortly after 10am in a gentle 8-10 knot easterly. Courses were a W4 with the start/finish line just above the beach for excellent spectating. Racing continued through out the day with winds topping out in the mid to low teens. It was a battle of wind shifts, velocity and current with big rewards for sailors that could connect all three. 8 races were finished in each division with no protests and no breakdowns.
With a promising forecast for more of the same, sailors got to the water early in 10-12 knots from the east. Race 1A started but was quickly thwarted by dropping pressure and was finally abandoned once progress against the current was no longer possible. At noon the wind filled back from the east and quickly picked up to 16-18 with long swell making for some awesome surfing conditions. 3 more races were sailed in each division.
