Teams arrived to the Robert Crown Center this morning to cloudy skies and temperatures in the 40s and unfortunately not a whole lot of breeze. After a competitors meeting at 0930, the fleet was put into postponement until the first A division start at 1300. Breeze ranged from the East, to the Southeast, to the North and back to the East during the first 3-race set while averaging just over 4 knots. The first set was completed at around 1445, and both fleets were sent into Santee Basin for an extended rotation break. Racing resumed in a seemingly building Westerly breeze at around 1545, but unfortunately the breeze began to die after just 2 additional A races and one B Division race were sailed before dying all together. All racing took place off of Triton Point in Annapolis Harbor on W4 courses. After sailing, the entire fleet was treated to a BBQ hosted by the NASS social committee. A huge thanks to our PRO Gavin O'Hare, with volunteer help from Juliette Thompson, and a team of Midshipmen for moving marks all over Annapolis Harbor and making the most out of a somewhat frustrating day. One protest was filed in race 3B, resulting in a DSQ.
Sailors arrived this morning to a steady Northwesterly breeze down the Severn River this morning and to temperatures in the low 50s. The race committee began setting the course at 0930 as the breeze began to build. The fleet was sent out onto the Severn River just before the first scheduled warning signal at 1000, but unfortunately the breeze began gusting into the upper 20s, and racing was postponed until conditions improved. After a delay, the breeze showed no signs of dissipating, and racing was called for the day at 1230. A big thank you to our guest PRO Juliette Thompson for getting the course set and monitoring conditions throughout the morning.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
