The Charles River was in fine form today. The breeze blew from the W and NW ranging in velocity from 8 -25 knots. There was one broken shroud and a few bent masts. 60 races were completed, leaving 6 more to finish the round robin tomorrow. The top 8 teams will qualify for the next round. Many thanks to Colin Santangelo '11 for manning the finish boat. We had an excellent crew of umpires led by Peter Johns. He was joined by Greg Kiely, Colin Smith, Ben Greenfield, John Moulthrup, Jamie Ewing, Alan Palmer, and Cam Cullman. Report time tomorrow is 9:00am.
The breeze blew from the WNW to WSW ranging in velocity from 2 to 8 knots. We completed the initial round and a round of the top 8 teams. We started a final 6 but were unable to complete it. Congratulations to BC, Roger Williams, Yale and Tufts on qualifying for ICSA Team Race Nationals. We owe a special thanks to our umpire team. Chief Umpire-Peter Johns, Jamie Ewing, Greg Kiely, Colin Smith, Alan Palmer, Cam Cullman, John Moulthrup, Ben Greenfield, and John Pratt. We also need to thank Marek Zaleski for manning the finish boat, and Greg Wilkinson for all his help as NEISA Rep.
