An enormous thank you to our RC group of Maritime Cadets led by PRO Prof. Erik Reynolds for running an efficient 57 races today. Another big thanks to our judges, led by Chump Bam Miller, Austen Anderson, John Moulthrop, Madeline Gill, Sam Blouin. Thank you also to the group of cadets who braved the weather to move marks and handle minor breakdowns as well as Rob Crafa for running the shore team. The forecast for tomorrow looks a bit lighter with the breeze expected out of the North/Northwest.
The first warning signal for race 58 has been moved to 0945.
Sunday brought beautiful Spring sailing conditions to The East River. The breeze began out of the Northwest at around 12 knots. Throughout the day the breeze moderated up and down and eventually died out right before attempting a final 4. A course was set up in the East River and racing got underway promptly at 0945. The second full round robin was completed by 1400, and a final 4 was planned until the breeze completely shut off. A total of 90 races were completed over the course of the weekend.
Another enormous thank you to our group of Maritime Cadets, volunteer umpires, and race committee members. Today's umpire crew also included Al Constants, Matty Cohen and Jimi Grover.
