Teams arrived this morning to a windless Chester River. Racing was postponed until light and variable winds graced the river beginning around 11 o'clock. The wind held throughout the day from the SW and 26 races were completed. Racing is scheduled to resume tomorrow at 9:30.
Sailors returned on Sunday to another morning without wind. After trying once to get races off without success, another light and variable breeze filled from the NE at 1:15. Four races were sailed, completing the second round robin. One last race was sailed to break a tie between the Shoremen and Seahawks' second team. Congratulations to the St. Mary's Seahawks for winning the Tom Noble Team Race!
A huge thanks to Tom Pierson for running the finish boat on Day 1 and the mark boat on Day 2. Thanks to all the help from the Washington College sailors for maintaining a tight ship with so much postponement. Lastly, a big thank you to Lauren McElhenny, Erica Pratt, Harrison Demas, and Anna Youngk for all their help behind the scenes.
