Thompson Trophy

Summary

Saturday, April 12:

A beautiful day of sailing on the Thames today for day one of the Thompson Trophy. Racing began in a light northerly that allowed for one A-Division race to be completed before it became too unstable for several hours. At around 1:30 a nice southwesterly filled in which the Race Committee got in another 5 A-Division, 6 B-Division, and 4 C-Division races. All races were W-4s. Three protests were filed, one resulting in a DSQ. Many thanks to our Chief Judge, John Moulthrop who was on the water all day, and Danny Rabin from Brown and Reed Johnson from Fordham for hearing protests. First warning at 10am tomorrow morning.

Sunday, April 13:

Champagne conditions on the Thames today! A perfect southerly allowed for very small course changes and several races. All races were W-4s. Thanks to John Moulthrop for judging all weekend. No protests were filed today. Also a huge thanks to our race committee team of Cadets: Brad Brown, Josh Morrison, Sulli Edwards, Matt Orgill, Lauren Cefali, Devon Rohde, Morgan Rhodes, Christi Frost, Jaimie Chicoine, and Andrew Britton.

Congratulations to Stanford for winning the 2014 Thompson Trophy!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
