It was a beautiful day on the St. Mary's River!!! Sailors were greeted by a Southerly breeze that quickly went SW and then West by the start of race 1. PRO Kayla McComb'13 did a fantastic job working with her 49erFX partner in the pin boat, Mimi Roller'13 to keep ripping off starts in the shifty conditions. Jeremy Wilmot'09 made sure the course stayed square along with the undergraduate Seahawks in the various committee boats. The new ICSA maximum ten races were sailed using inner and outer W/L and W4's. Divisional boat switch happened after 8 races. Yale with a convincing lead heading into Sunday.
Winds shifted to the north/north east overnight. An unfortunate consequence of the change was that temperatures dropped 30 degrees overnight going from low 70's on Sat to low 40's on Sunday. Another bi-product was lighter more unstable winds. Fortunately, the three graduates on hand were very aggressive moving marks to keep the racing as fair as possible. During lunch breaks only one fleet sailed at a time while the breeze was at its least cooperative state. Fortunately, the pressure filled back in after lunch and all 36 races were completed. One protest was heard and disallowed. Congratulations to Yale on the post to post victory.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
