The Souther;y Breeze showed up before the Sailors and built to 10kts. It slowly cloked to the W and eventually went NW. Thanks to Haravrd, Conn, UVM, BU, BC, and RW for helping with Umpires for the Weekend. CGA provided 4 Umpire boats to get the event mobile. A big Thank you to John Moulthorp, Billy Martin, Danny Bloomstine, and John Garrity.
COLD!!! Wind Chill 17! We finished the Round Robin and went into a top 6/bottom 4. We did the Championship rounds with no rotation of boats, to minimize down time. The Round of 6 was close to being cancelled due to severe conditions. Sailing was postponed at the end of the round of 6, due to severe conditions, No tie breakers could be sailied. A big THANK YOU to Alexander Giordano, Ellis Tonissi,Copper Nafsky and other Camels Sailors that did Race Committee. GIO spent most of the weekend in a sinking skiff that had no wind cover. Ellis never rotated off the Finish boat, he was able to finish the last 3 flights solo on a floating ice cube. Thank you to USCGA and the Umpires for helping make this a great event. To all of the Camel undergrads that helped host the SNE and get our facility back to normal, Thank You! Go Camels!
