Saturday started out with cool temperatures and an east wind. 14 boats left Frenchman's Creek and headed beyond Indian Key for some racing. The breeze was light and large pressure differences were common on the course. After 3 races the breeze shut down and competitors enjoyed some lunch. The breeze refilled back from a Northeasterly direction. Again large shifts and pressure differences were very common as the gradient was filling in and out. The seabreeze was trying to fill but it was only making the gradient weaker. Sailors had to be on there toes looking for the wind. Big gains and losses were prevalent. Finally at 2:40pm the seabreeze kicked in. We had spectacular races in a steady 11-13 knots. All sailors were hiking. The ten race limit was reached and sailors were sent back ashore.
After losing an hour of sleep some sailors were a little drowsy. Nevertheless the race committee headed out just as a light northeast breeze was filling. 2 races were sailed before the breeze took a hard right turn and the course needed to be adjusted. 2 more races to complete the rotation were sailed in the easterly. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. All competitors enjoyed the fantastic Florida weather. No ice or snow just sun and wind! Thanks to all the Tritons who helped put on a great event and Congratulations to the Charleston Cougars for the win.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
