A cold and wet day at the Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy. Winds from the Northeast to the Southeast at 5-12 knots with lots of current and rain throughout the afternoon. All courses were W4's with 8 races sailed in A-division and 6 in B-division. No protests or breakdowns. A huge thanks to judges Elizabeth Barry, Ashley Noble, and Mike Yanagisawa for keeping the racing clean on the water. Thanks to all of the Brown sailors who braved the elements to run a great first day of racing: Peter Bailey, Wyatt Sharpe, Reid Secondo, and Oksana Goretaya.
MIT leads after the first day with Yale not far behind. Race 7B scheduled for 10am on Sunday.
If you can believe it, it was even colder and more wet on day two of the Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy. However the sailing conditions were better with winds mainly from the North at 8-16 knots with lots of current and heavy rain. Courses were W/L's with 4 more races sailed in A-division and 6 more in B-division for a total of 12 races in each division. One protest resulting in a DSQ for Roger Williams B-division and no breakdowns.
A huge thanks to judges Elizabeth Barry (Brown 2011), Ashley Noble (Brown 2013), Mike Yanagisawa (Brown 2013), and Sally Evans (Brown 2011) for keeping the racing clean on the water throughout the event. Thanks to all of the Brown sailors who braved the elements to run a great regatta: Peter Bailey, Wyatt Sharpe, Reid Secondo, Oksana Goretaya, Marina Cano, Haley Carter, and Eric Xiao. Special thanks to photographer Rob Migliaccio on taking his always incredible photos throughout the weekend. The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
