Racing started on Crab Bank at 10:00 this morning in a 3-5 knot NE wind. The breeze shifted to the north and freshened a little before dying out just around 2:00. The final race of the first rotation crossed the finish line minutes before the harbor glassed off, just in time for a bathroom break. Several boats shuttled sailors in to the harbor. Upon their return the wind had filled in from a northerly direction again. The wind got very shifty and unstable just after 4:00 and the sailors we sent back to the marina. Coach Greg did a great job of keeping things rolling today completing 65 races in all.
The north wind was trying to hold on in Charleston Harbor this morning, but as the temperatures started to rise the north wind faded. The south westerly started to fill in and sailors headed to crab bank after an 11:15 harbor start. Race 66 was started in a 5-7 knot breeze under sunny skies and with a strong ebb tide. 96 races were completed in all. We had one breakdown in the last race of the final four. The race was re-sailed with a start at 2:50.
