Day 1 of the America Trophy had a wide range of conditions. We sailed W-4 courses all day. We started with NNE wind at 5-7 knots. Through out the day it shifted right to the east. Eventually the wind died and tried to fill in from the south. We finished with 6A, tomorrow we will start 5B.
There were two redress hearings heard resulting in AVG points granted for races 1-4B raced in sail numbers 10 and 13 due to rudder problems. There will be a course redress hearing tomorrow ASAP after racing.
Thanks to Gary Knapp and Bill Siener for being judges and the KP Midshipmen for setting courses.
Tomorrow we will have the MAISA Conf. awards during the regatta award ceremony.
Report time is 0900.
Great day 2 at the America Trophy! We had the predicted shifty northerly breeze ranging from 8-18knots. Most teams had their windy crews in a some point during the day. Courses were again W-4's with a gate and offset. Racing started at 0935 and and ended at 1605. We spent the whole day on the water and were able to get 16 races in each division. We had a very short lunch break on the water and used our brand new Whalers as shuttles for bathroom breaks.
Thanks to Gary Knapp and Bill Siener for hearing 1 protest and 1 BKD. Thanks to the KP Midshipmen for setting the courses. Thanks to Morgan Wilson for helping with RC work.
Congrats to Georgetown for winning the event and also the top 8 teams for moving on to the ICSA National Semi-finals at St. Mary's College of MD this June.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
