It was a spirited and beautiful day of racing on Mystic Lake, with 6 races in A Division and 4 in B Division. Competitors were greeted with glassy conditions, with spotty breeze filling from SSE and East until 12:15 when the sea breeze finally filled in with a still shifty 4-7 from the SSE.
Boston College leads, trailed closely by Dartmouth.
A huge thanks to Matt Cohen of MIT for running races in the most challenging of Mystic conditions, Cameron Barclift (Tufts) in our mark boat, Eliza White for her help in the RC boat, Pierre DuPont for scores, and all volunteers for their time. More racing tomorrow for the coveted Reed Trophy and berths to Womens Nationals.

Sunday morning brought a beautiful, warm, oscillating E and SE 4-10kt breeze to idyllic Mystic Lake, where racing for the Reed Trophy began this morning on time shortly after 10am. However, with occasional shifts as far right as SW, a few races were abandoned in order to keep racing fair.
4 races in A Division and 6 races in B Division were completed for 10 races in each, with 2 protests disallowed and breakdown points given once for a broken main halyard. W6's and W5's were used to keep races appropriately long, with courses set far away from the treeline to reduce any truly bizarre conditions at the weather mark.
Thanks to Matt Cohen of MIT for running a fantastic event as PRO in extraordinarily challenging conditions. Thanks to judges Art Rousmaniere, Lianne Dusek, Greg Kiely, Linda Epstein, and Jon Garrity for hearing the few protests that we had. Thanks as well to the Tufts undergrads that were able to help out, with Julie Pringle, Amanda Sommi, and Kate Shaner helping on RC while James Moody and Emily Lynn ran the mark boat.
In addition, preparing our aging fleet for this peak level event has been a challenge that the Tufts undergrads have handled wonderfully. Thank you from a grateful Assistant Coach, the boats sailed very well. We love our Larks, and we hope all competitors enjoyed sailing them as well.
Congrats to BC for winning this years Womens New Englands Championship handily, and to Yale, URI, Dartmouth, Tufts, Connecticut College, Roger Williams, USCGA, and Brown for qualifying their teams for the ICSA National Semi-Finals. Go Neisa!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
