Saturday was a day full of great racing with a total of 8 races completed in A division and 6 races completed in B division. Winds started ENE at 6-8 knots, and built throughout the day as it shifted E. There were a total of four protests. Yale ended the day leading the regatta with Georgetown in second.
The breeze on Sunday quickly built to the mid teens from the East with gusts in the later afternoon nearing 20. Once the breeze picked up the course was shifted from a W4 to Inner and Outer trapezoids. In the close racing, with finals' berths on the line, competitors were not letting anyone slide, resulting in 4 DSQs for the day. Some of the toughest battles where in the fight for 9th, winning the US Sailing Grit Award for the Western Fleet is Wisconsin.
A huge thanks to PRO, Gary Bodie, Chief Judge, Jeff Borland, and judges Max Plarr, Chris Klevan, and Andrew Vann. Regatta management provided by Jonathon Romero, the Old Dominion University Sailing Team, and the Hampton University Sailing Team. Also thanks to our sponsors including Laser Performance (the official boat supplier of ICSA Championships), US Sailing, Verizon Wireless, www.Beataphotography.com, and Hampton Yacht Club. Offsite fans were treated to live coverage by Chris Love with support from Monarch Media and color commentary from Ted Alexander. See http://2013semis.collegesailing.org/ for video recaps. Participants were particularly grateful for the outstanding hospitality from Hampton University and the efforts they took to insure that the event had the look and feel of a major sporting event.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
