Day 1 at the Vietor Trophy started under cloudy skies, no breeze, and a strong outgoing current. Shortly a light northerly filled that allowed racing to get underway. Two A-Division races and one B-Division race were sailed in that direction. After another short break a southeasterly filled which sent sailors back on the water for the rest of the day. The breeze ranged from the southeast to southwest and 3 to 8 knots. 8 total races in A-Division and 6 in both B and C-Divisions were sailed. All courses were W-4. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ and one redress was heard and disallowed. Thank you to Frank Pizzo, Mike Komar, and Mike Horn for hearing protests and to Frank also for serving as NEISA Rep. We're looking forward to a better forecast tomorrow and more fun with our new three division format!
Mitchell College was a no show.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
Sunday was a very challenging day for both competitors and the race committee. After an hour delay in the morning waiting for the breeze to settle, a course was set in a light west-southwesterly which allowed for a few races to be sailed in C and B-Divisions. Shortly, however, the wind started to shift from the southeast to west-southwest. This lasted for several races until it finally settled to the south-southwest for beautiful racing conditions during the last couple of races. 13 total races in all divisions were sailed. All courses were W-4s. One protest was heard and disallowed. Congratulations to Vermont for sealing the victory in a very close battle within the top five teams.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
