A sunny, cold and breezy start to the day wind NE at 13knts gusting to 23knts. The course was challenging for both race committee and competitors alike. With 90 degree oscillations observed course adjustment became a regular occurrence. By 12PM the velocity increased to a steady 15 with gusts as high as 27. Race 4 was abandoned do to leeward mark dragging in high winds and strong current. 7 races were completed report Sunday will be 10AM.
Sunday brought us another brisk morning with partly cloudy skies and breeze out of the NW at 13knts gusting to 17knts. Breeze increased towards the noon hour to a steady 14knts gusting to 18knts with 80 degree oscillations. Course adjustments once again were a regular occurrence. Race 1 was abandoned, 3 where completed. Thank you to the offshore team for running RC and keeping up with the challenging conditions. Congratulations to Maine Maritime for winning the second annual Kruger Kup.
