Saturday morning brought a very light westerly in which race 1A was sailed before the breeze shut off. The fleet waited for 45 minutes while there was some teasing puffs that came through but not enough to start another race. At 1130 both fleets took an early lunch break and we waited for the WSW breeze to fill in. We got back on the water around 1300 and sailed the rest of the afternoon in shifty and puffy conditions. Ten races were completed in each division with A-Division in FJ’s and B-Division in 420’s. The divisions will switch fleets tomorrow morning. All courses were W-4’s with an offset mark and leeward gates. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ and one protest will be heard tomorrow morning. Thank you to Ted Greene for being on the water all day and hearing protests as well as Ensign Jon Duffett who served as PRO.
Sunday morning racing began at 1030 with a light SSE and a slight ebb. Two sets were sailed before the breeze shifted the SSW-WSW for the remainder of the afternoon. The breeze was anywhere from 4-14knots all day and got shiftier as the day went on with the ebb getting stronger early in the afternoon. Seven races were sailed in each division to complete the regatta. Courses were W-4 and there were no protests or breakdowns. Thanks again to Ted Greene for being on the water all weekend and special thanks to Ensign Jon Duffett who served as PRO and all the cadets that helped run the regatta.
Congratulations to Boston College for winning the 2012 Emily Wick Trophy!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
