Summary

Saturday, March 24:

The morning greeted us on the Thames River with sunshine and a steady 10 knot southeasterly.The breeze built quickly as sunshine turned to overcast with 16 knot winds gusting to 20 by lunch time.The breeze provided a challenge for competitors and race committee alike with a collision in the 4th race resulting in a dismasting. No injuries were reported. One protest and one redress were filed the protest was withdrawn; redress was heard and given. Seven races were sailed all courses were W4. Tomorrow's forecast calls for rain before 11am, wind out of the east at 8 -11 knots diminishing to 5 knots by the afternoon. Thank you to the coaches from UNH and MItchell for hearing protests.

Sunday, March 25:

Sunday greeted us as forecasted; with overcast skies and temperatures in the mid 40’s wind was out of the east at 5 gusting to 11. There were three races completed courses were W4 and W6. Thank you to the USCGA Offshore Team and head coach Jack Neades for the on water support and Dockmaster RJ Burns for helping out with breakdowns.

We look forward to hosting the Kruger Kup on April 7th & 8th.
