The Charles was inconsistent as ever on a chilly spring afternoon. After a late report due to crew races followed by a bomb scare on the Cambridge shore, the boats finally headed out to the basin around noon. Courses were W4s with a windward offset and a leeward gate. With shifty winds ranging from 0-5kts, a patient RC was only able to get 2 races in each division. Lets hope for better breeze and more sun tomorrow!
We were glad to see that the wind picked up significantly today. The breeze was north-easterly, coming straight down the river, and was a steady 12-15 knots with gusts of 18. Courses were the same as yesterday (W4s with a leeward gate). We were able to get off 3 sets of solid racing for each division. We saw a few capsizes and 2 protests were heard, resulting in 1 DSQ. Congratulations to the BU Terriers on winning the George Morris Trophy.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
