Saturday: Beautiful racing conditions on the Thames River today. 17 races were sailed in an oscillating North to Northwesterly breeze that ranged from 3-10 knots. A strong out-going current was a huge factor on the racecourse, especially at the starting line. All courses were W4's with offsets and leeward gates. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thanks to judges Peter Johns and Greg Keily for doing double duty here and at New England Dighies. And also a big thanks to Coast Guard cadets Joe Dillier '12, Rian Bareuther '13, and Rebecca O'Connor '13, and Ellen Kintz '13 for working hard all day to keep the course square. Seven A races and eight B are scheduled for tomorrow.
Sunday: Very tough conditions today, with breeze that shifted from due West to North-Northwest and never seemed to settle in for more than a few minutes. Many course adjustments, several abandoned start sequences, and one race that was abandoned at the weather mark were the result. 4 more A-Division races and 5 B-Division races were completed, all W 4's with offsets and leeward gates. A big thanks again to the same team of cadets from yesterday, with the addition of John Mack '13. Although no protests were filed, judges Peter Johns and Greg Keily were on hand all day.
Congratulations to the Charleston Cougars for winning the 2010 Women's Emily Wick/Sloop Shrew. Good luck to everyone at their qualifiers next week.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
