Maisa Womens

Summary

Saturday, April 24:

The 2010 MAISA Women’s started with a light Easterly breeze and one race was completed in the Severn river off the Robert Crown center before the wind died completely and the fleet sailed in for an early lunch break. The wind filled in again at around 1230 and the fleet headed out again for more light and shifty river racing. The wind remained at 3-5 knots throughout the afternoon and shifted from East to Southeast to South to Southwest and then back to South as the race committee, led by PRO Rob Rowlands, did a great job keeping up with the changing conditions to ensure fair racing throughout. The fleet sailed late into the day and were able to complete the entire regatta. Zero protests were filed. Congratulations to St. Mary’s for winning the 2010 MAISA Women’s Championship and to Georgetown, William Smith, Old Dominion, Navy and Pennsylvania who will be joining them at ICSA Women’s Nationals.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
