Women's Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1B

Summary

Saturday, September 27:

Sailors arrived on Day 1 to glassy conditions on the Severn River. The regatta postponed ashore until noon. In order to get any racing in, the entire regatta loaded into sail and power boats and drove two miles away from the Academy where there was a 4-6 knot North Easterly. Five races were completed in each division. No protests were filed.

Sunday, September 28:

Sailors showed up on day two to very similar conditions to Saturday. No wind in the river or the Annapolis Harbor. The entire regatta once again went afloat 2 miles away from the Academy to find the wind. One race was completed in a dying Easterly before the whole regatta sent it back to shore. After a brief pause on land, the wind filled in the Severn River and racing resumed. Four races per division were completed today. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ. Thank you to our PRO Rob Vann for running races in extremely challenging conditions, and thank you to our three judges, Nora Ong, Caroline Bayless and Jed Bell. Congratulations to Stanford for winning the event in a dominant fashion.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
