A beautiful early Fall day welcomed teams to Port Jefferson for the SBU Fall Open. Full sun and an easterly breeze that started out around 10-15 knots and gradually decreased to about 4-5 knots as the day progressed. Due to the wind direction and the fact that the mooring field was still crowded with boats, racing took place in the outer harbor. While this gave us clear space, we still had quite shifty conditions as the breeze came down from the hills. It was also a bit of a trek to do rotations. Despite that, we were able to complete 8 races in each division. We decided to push a little later and compete the regatta in one day. Everyone hit the docks around 6pm, after a long and slow sail/tow back.
Thank you to all the visiting teams for coming and congratulations Fordham for winning the event! Thank you to all the SBU sailors for their help running the event, with a particular shout out to Avery Connor'27 and Mahmodol Mojumder'27 for running races all day.
Regatta completed on Saturday

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
