SAISA Open Singlehanded Champs

Summary

Saturday, September 13:

After the completion of the SAISA Women's Singlehanded Champs, the 13-boat Open Singlehanded fleet hit the water and began sailing at 1430. The fleet was able to complete the first four races of the 10-race scheduled event. Race 5 was started, however a large right shift on the first beat caused the race to be abandoned. As the fleet had to be clear of the JIYC grounds by 1700 due to a special yacht club event, there was not enough time to reset the entire racecourse so the fleet headed in at 1615 and packed up.

Sunday, September 14:

The fleet was met with cooler temperatures on Sunday with a beautiful 17kt northerly and a strong flood tide. We were able to begin sailing around 1000 and completed six total races to round out the ten-race series. A huge thanks to all of the CofC student athletes that volunteered by handling recording, scoring and mark setting.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
