What a fantastic day! Thank you again Vermont for allowing your venue to be used for The Reece's Cup. Mendums water level is still about 26 feet below normal while the dam repairs are being completed. We hope to accumulate enough water from rain and snow to get that level back up by summer.
Blue skies, foliage, building breeze, tons of shifts and only 1 capsize. Seven teams sailed a CD regatta with Salve Regina's A skipper and crew garnering a picket fence of seven wins which obviously included all the Reece's races.
Breeze was predominately from the north with oscillations to NW and NE, settling for the final sets from the North at 14 kts. Interesting gate roundings led to some position changes for the final beat and run in several races. Sailors need to remember what the I flag means, even after mention in the SIs and discussion at the Competitors Meeting. One leeward mark rail lock was no protested, nor was there any exoneration.
Salve was the overall winner of the Reece's Cup.
Thanks to Brittany Manning the Salve coach for hearing the protest which resulted in a DSQ for UNH, and for moving marks when needed. A huge thanks to the UVM sailors who assisted in mark boats and RC, Al, Harvey and Will. Thanks to to the UVM sailors who kept things during lauch and retrieval running smoothly.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
