Summary

Saturday, October 18:

The day started with an early morning light breeze coming in from the southwest. By first warning at 11:00 the wind had died out and A division had fun floating around the start line together before an on land postponement was called. By 12:00 small puffs were coming in from the southeast and a second attempt with A division was made, resulting in a successful two races completed. Wind shifts and really light air created a tricky couple of races. By the next division the wind had died again and only one B division race was completed before the decision was made to postpone races till Sunday with better wind in the forecast.

Sunday, October 19:

The day started off with medium to strong wind and rain coming in from the south. Competitors were on the water and racing by 10:15am with three B division races completed to offset the incomplete set from the prior day. Continuing on, two A division races were completed followed by two more B division. A large wind shadow by the dock was causing rotations to take a while so the decision was made to run a four race A division set allowing the day to finish up on a two B division races and to maximize the number of races before the last start time at 3:00pm. The day was filled with fun races, defined by heavy puffs and shifts, with competitive upwind legs and mark rounding's. Thanks to Eugene Yacht Club for providing an incredible venue and being so supportive to college and youth sailing. A huge thanks to the race committee for providing their time, expertise, and creatively fitting in a lot of races. Thanks to WWU, UW, and OSU for coming out to compete and making it a fun, supportive, and competitive regatta.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
