MCSA Open Singlehanded Championship

Summary

Saturday, September 20:

Saturday provided competitors with challenging light, shifty, and choppy conditions which had the RC working overtime to manage the course. 5 races for the ILCA 7s and 4 for the ILCA 6s were completed. No protests were filed.

Sunday, September 21:

7 races were completed for the ILCA 7s and 6s today in a range of 4-15 kts with light chop. Big shifts as the wind shifted east and settled into the windier conditions. No protests were filed.

Congratulations to Hope College's LJ Nykamp for winning the MCSA berth to open singlehanded nationals and University of Michigan's Lila Torresen for winning the womens berth. Thank you PRO Pat Gort, Umpire Dale Gort, and Max Zhalilo and the rest of the CCYC laser fleet volunteers for running such a great event.
