Sailors at Chicago Yacht Club - Belmont Station were treated to an unseasonably warm October weekend, with temperatures around 80°F and a lighter but shifty breeze throughout Saturday.
The day started with winds averaging around 15-18 knots and gusting up into 20+ knots. As the wind continued to pick up, Race Committee determined that it would be unsafe to continue utilizing spinnakers and flew zulu for the remainder of racing.
A huge thank you to all the competitors for making the turnout so strong, and to all the volunteers whose energy and support helped make this regatta a success. Special thanks to:
