Saturday Summary:
Light breeze made for a fickle first day but after going searching around the corner from where we normally sail at KP, RC was able to get off one race. After attempting a second in dying breeze that was eventually called off, the fleet headed ashore for postponement. A few hours of no wind passed with athletes waiting ashore, before the breeze filled for the afternoon and more racing was able to be completed as the sun lowered in the sky. After getting 7 races in in tricky conditions, a solid regatta was afoot.
Sunday Summary:
After normal 0900 report time thanks to RCs efforts on the first day avoiding a potential non-regatta, the fleet headed out and attempted, but again abandoned efforts towards an 8th race. Postponing ashore, eventually breeze filled around 1130 and an 8th race was able to be completed. After rotating on the water to make the best of a solid but dying thermal, a 9th race was attempted but eventually abandoned due to the breeze dropping out and the last downwind becoming more of a drift-off.
Waiting on land for breeze to fill, the fleet was hopeful, but alas the breeze did not come before the 1600 cutoff time limit for the conference championship. Congratulations to Georgetown for the win, and thank you to all of our wonderful regatta volunteer staff including Dave White (Saturday PRO), Larry Kennedy (Markboat), both Seans (Markboat Assist), Pete Must (Sunday PRO), and Daniel Escudero (Chief Judge), as well as MAISA Rep Ian Burman for a successfully run regatta in tough conditions.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
