Easterly breeze on Lake Virginia provided a full slate of racing today. Four races were completed in the morning in light, variable, and shifty four to six knots. A lunch break commenced as the breeze fizzled out, and a brief postponement was had on shore before a much more consistent eight-knot easterly filled for the final six races in the afternoon.
W4 and W5 courses were used throughout the day and averaged eighteen minutes in length. One scoring inquiry was filled, but was disallowed. ICSA Rep. Connor Corgard and fellow jury member Robby Brown heard one protest resulting in a DSQ.
The home team leads the field with Jacksonville and Miami rounding out the podium. Four more races are in store for Sunday.
A beautiful light southerly greeted sailors this morning, building to eight to ten knots for the four races that were completed today. All courses were W4s and averaged fifteen minutes in length.
No protests, breakdowns, or redress inquiries were filed.
Many thanks to ICSA Rep. Connor Corgard and jury member Robby Brown for their diligent work throughout the event. Thanks are also in order for all the Tars helping out with regatta management and competitors who helped support this event.
Congratulations to the home team for the win-- GO TARS!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
