Teams and athletes were greeted with warm temps and lights winds to start the day. By 10:15 a 4-6 knot northerly had filled and racing got underway.
Throughout the day the breeze gradually increased and oscillated, topping out at around 9 knots before dropping back to 6 knots for the last race.
8 races were completed by 3pm. Tomorrow’s forecast is similar as we look to complete the final 6 races.
No protests or breakdowns were filed.
A building Easterly greeted teams to the race course. Racing started promptly at 10:00am. The breeze built from 6-11 knots and a steady chop built from the long fetch.
Just as the last race was on the first leg a series of major wind shifts forced the race to be abandoned. The fleet waited about 20 minutes as a SE “seabreeze” filled with 4-8 knots of pressure. The 14th and final race was able to be completed from this shifty direction and the regatta was completed around 1:15pm.
In the end the Tulane Green Wave extended their lead to hold on to win for the 2025 AllState Sugar Bowl Regatta.
A big thank you to the teams for traveling to attend, our gracious hosts the Southern Yacht Club, the AllState Sugar Bowl Committee, and Tulane University for making this event a success.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
