Sunny skies, fall colors, and calm breeze welcomed sailors to Lake Crabtree for the the 9th annual Triangle Tango Intercollegiate Regatta presented by the Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance. Following a brief opening ceremony, roll call, and welcome, sailors launched to take advantage of early breeze and the race committee was able to complete one race in A-Division before the wind died and sailors were sent back ashore for a delay. After a few attempts to get additional races started in light air and no improvement in the forecast for the remainder of the afternoon, racing was called for day one at 2:30pm.
Sunday brought a very different set of conditions. Overnight rain left cloudy skies and a brisk southwesterly breeze of 7 to 10mph. A-Division took to the water early and completed their first set and thereafter the race committee was able to complete five additional rotations before the 3pm cut-off time. Conditions held with the breeze clocking further to the south but staying consistently between 7 and 12mph with brief stronger gusts. Races were W-4s averaging 16-18 minutes and as the day progressed, Auburn and NC State fought for the lead back and forth, while Florida and Tennessee angled for the final podium position. In the end, the Wolfpack took the lead by the end of the third rotation and didn't let go, with the Auburn Tigers finishing a close second, and the Florida Gators secured third place on the final set over the Tennessee Volunteers. Special thanks to the RC of Wolfpack alumni Isa du Plessis and Hogan O'Donnell, all the Wolfpack sailors who worked to put on a great event, and thanks to Esteban Forrer for serving as the SAISA Rep for the event. As teams wrapped up the boats and boatyard, a spectacular crimson sky ushered in the close of the fall college sailing season in SAISA.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
