After 2 weeks straight of rain in Jacksonville the St Johns River was running strong, making for challenging conditions for the women of SAISA. Winds held most of the day between 6 to 10 knots allowing the sailors to overcome the current and allowing 10 races to be completed. Freshman Isabella Cabezas turned in a great performance, quickly figuring out the current and dominating the second half of the regatta posting a picket fence. Eden Nykamp from USF came out of retirement to finish 2nd and Agija Elerte from the Jax rounded out the top 3.
Thanks to the coaches and sailors from JU for running a great regatta.
