Light ESE wind at 4-6 knots greeted the 9 teams competing. Racing was conducted in Bayboro Harbor with a very light chop. Race 1 was in the books with Race 2 underway when conditions became threatening with lightning nearby. The fleet hustled back to the dock and spent 2 hours first in a storm delay and then waiting for the wind to return.
Finally the forecast westerly seabreeze filled in and the fleet returned to the race course, running W4's and W5's in flat water. Winds were shifty and puffy, from 5 knots to 10 knots, keeping competitors and RC busy.
After 9 races the Rollins team emerged victorious, featuring 2 women helms. Eckerd was a close second, with Jacksonville University capturing the third and fourth place spots. No protests were filed, no breakdowns reported.
