SAISA South Fall Tournament

Summary

Saturday, September 7:

We waited a little to start the competitors meeting because we were missing UCF and Eckerd. During the meeting we had a short rain but it passed quickly and the wind filled in right after. A division first race started around 10:15 with a South East wind. The wind stayed mostly consistent with some minor shifts throughout the day out of the South East at 4-9 knots sustained with gusts up to 14 knots slightly increasing throughout the day. There was one big wind shift towards the end of A division race 5 as a storm passed to the south west. Afterwards the wind died for about 20 minutes and went west so the committee waited for it fill back in from the east before starting race 6 for A division. The current started as an incoming current (opposite to the wind) and was slack in the first set of races for A division. Towards the second set of races for A and B division there was significant northbound current across the course. Head race committee was Clinton Hough with Kirsten Delany on the boat taking and posting scores and he was assisted by Tom Homberger and Geoff Jarvis in the mark boat. There was one coach boat with Nico representing PBA, Dave representing Rollins and Ellie representing Jacksonville. There were 2 additional safety boats staffed by PBSC staff and volunteers: Emma, Nathan, Brian, Giada, Peyton, and Nolan. Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
