PCCSC Women's Singlehanded Championship

Summary

Saturday, September 28:

The day started overcast with a heavy marine layer leading to an on shore postponement. Eventually, the fleet hit the water with a target time of 11:45am, but ended up postponing on the water until 12:30pm when a light southerly at 180 degrees filled in. The wind shifted right slowly as the day continued eventually settling in at 240 degrees at 8-12 knots.

The regatta was masterfully run by PRO, Lucas Pierce (UCSB '21) and a team of current UCSB students. The event was handily by Martha Schuessler (UH '27) who won all but one race where last year's conference champion, Sammy Farkas (UW '27) took the win in race 10. The regatta was complete in one day due to the outstanding conditions.

A huge thank you to our RC and congratulations to Stanford and Hawaii for qualifying for the Singlehanded National Championship!

Sunday, September 29:

No racing on Sunday as all races were complete on Saturday.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
