Open Atlantic Coast Championship Round 1B

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

Beautiful shifty day on the St. Mary's River. Northerly breezes from 5-10 knots allowed for 10 W-4 races in each division. There were two protests resulting in two DSQ's and one request for redress due to a broken jib halyard.

Sunday will begin with one representative from each team for a quick meeting prior to racing.

Sunday, October 6:

A light Southerly hovering between 3-4 knots filled in around 10:30 which allowed two more races before a postponement ashore. At 2:20 breeze picked up to 5 knots just in time to squeeze one more race. The top of the leaderboard was extremely close with Tulane Green Wave edging out the Harvard Crimson. Big thanks to PRO Bradley Adam and the Seahawks for running races when appropriate and not running them when it wasn't good sailing.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
