Day one of the Nickerson is complete after 8 races in A division and 6 races in B division. Breeze on average varied from 6 to 12 knots, with a handful of gnarly puffs which reached into the high teens. Breeze for the first race was from the West, but the race committee was kept busy by a right swing early in the day, followed by an even more significant right swing to the North midafternoon. The wind direction stabilized to a fairly stable (by Mystic Lake standards) Northwesterly for the last four races of the day. One breakdown request was filed and granted, and one filed protest resulted in a boat retiring after finishing.
Tomorrow, racing will begin with 7A/7B. Temps are expected to be quite cold in the morning, so those with access to a drysuit should bring it just in case. Race committee intends to encourage faster rotations tomorrow with the hope that we will complete the 14 race series.
Special thanks to Greta Klein '26, Michael "Sal" Salvatore '26, Gus Macaulay '27, Matthew Wallace '25, and Jack Flores '25 for helping out with race committee and managing breakdowns. The Jumbos look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Lake for day two tomorrow.

Day two of the Nickerson is complete. The morning races were sailed in a somewhat stable westerly, but a drastic shift to the south necessitated a break and a significant course change. Increasingly large shifts ranging from almost due South to NW characterized the afternoon racing, with pressure ranging from 4 to 12 knots. One breakdown request was filed and approved.
Thank you to all competitors for coming to this year's edition of the Nickerson Trophy. Congratulations to the Brown University Bears for a dominant performance. Hopefully everyone enjoyed experiencing the Larks for one last time. Special thanks to today's RC squad, which included Adrien Bellanger '25, Matt Wallace '25, Kiana Beachy '28, and Amelia Traver '28.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
