MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy

Summary

Saturday, October 26:

Sailors took the water in a 4-7 knot NW breeze at ODU. After 3 races, the wind shifted to the N and picked up to 11-22. 8 races in each division were completed as the wind slowly diminished to 7-13 by the end of the day. Two breakdowns were fixed on the water. Three protests were filed and disallowed on procedure. Thank you to the jury consisting of Chief Judge Jerry Thompson and ODU Alumni Parker Purrington. Racing will begin at 0930 tomorrow morning with 7 more races scheduled in each division.

Sunday, October 27:

Racing commenced at 0930 in a 6-8 knot N wind. This eventually shifted to the NE and picked up to 8-14. It was determined that there would not be time for a full final set to get to 14B, so a 1/1 was sailed and finished at 1440. Three protests were filed, two were withdrawn and one was disallowed on procedure. Thank you to the jury Chief Umpire Jerry Thompson and ODU Alumni Brendon Wilkins.

Note: RIT left before races 13A and 13B as reflected in the scores as DNS. This is scored as No-Show.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
