On Saturday of the 2024 Laser South Regatta, we had planned on Sailing in Carr Cove in a Southwesterly wind, but a cold front came through during the competitors meeting and we instead set the course in the Severn River right off the Crown Center. The wind started from the WNW and shifted right throughout the day. Early peaks were around 25 knots. As the wind slowly shifted north, it decreased to as low as 5 knots by the last race.
Sunday was a beautiful day in Annapolis with seasonably cool temperatures, sunny skies, and NW wind. We raced in the Severn River in front of the Robert Crown Center. The wind started out in the 8-15 knot range and was very puffy and shifty. The wind decreased and became more variable throughout the day and a few races had to be called off due to the wind dying or major shifts making the course unfair. We were able to complete the regatta before cutoff. Congratulations to the top 9 who will advance to the Carl Van Duyne regatta at Navy on September 28-29.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
