Tufts takes control of the regatta with a brilliant first day. Northeastern, Bowdoin, URI and Mass Maritime in a close battle for second and third. Winds held steady at 5-8 from the north, and 4 thirty minute races were completed out in the bay.
Seabreeze sprung up at around 11:30 and peaked at 20 knots around 2:00. 4 races of around 30-35 minutes were completed in champagne conditions. Bowdoin won the day, but it wasn’t enough to overtake Tufts. Mass Maritime took third overall with a solid performance, bolstered by a couple of magnificent starts. Boston University claimed a 1st place on a strong second day. Maine Maritime rebounded from a miserable first day. Congrats to the top three who qualify for NEISA match race championships.
