Corpus Christi Fall Open #3

Summary

Saturday, November 9:

The strong winds forecast the night before the regatta never materialized. The weather forecasts were a day behind the weather that showed for the weekend. After a short delay racing started at 1040 with wind from NNE at 6.5kts. By 1230 the winds had died to less than 3 kts. Three races were finished, but further racing was ended for the day. With time on their hands, the racing teams converted to knee boarding, everyone had a great time together cooling off. The BBQ Saturday night for the racers and CC recreational sailors was well attended. Burgers, a lot of chatting, and a little swing dancing made the evening.

Sunday, November 10:

Sunday morning the fleet was rigged and ready for the 0930 harbor start, with racing resuming at 0948 in 6.5 kts from the NNW. Every race the course was reset to stay on axis with the clocking breeze, which ended up dying in the NE after three races. The regatta was called with seven races in the books. Thanks to our CCYC race committee and volunteers from a local high school team sailors for running the regatta!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
