Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament

Summary

Saturday, October 14:

Day one of the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament, hosted by Brown University at the Ted Turner '60 Sailing Pavilion at the Edgewood Yacht Club, was a slow going day with shifty NE, N, NW, and finally West directions for 6 races in each division. Winds ranged from 4-10 knots and courses were W3, W4, and W5's. A division sailed FJs and B-division sailed 420e's. One protest was heard that was disallowed.

Sunday, October 15:

Day two of the Women's Atlantic Coast Tournament had cool temps but awesome sailing conditions. The breeze was mainly from the North between 10-16 knots with a few higher puffs. 8 more races were sailed in each division with A-division in 420e's and B-division in FJs. Courses were W3, W4, and W5's. No protests were filed and there were no breakdowns.

A huge thanks to our Judges: Caroline Bayless (Brown '23), Maddy McGrath (Brown '22), and Nora Ong (Brown '23) who kept the racing fair on the water. Thanks to Blaire McCarthy (Brown '23) for helping with race management and Brown sailors Grant Adam '24, Connor Macken '24, and Corinne Harrison '27 for helping on-the-water. Thank you Jonathan Farrar (Northeastern Coach) for being the ICSA Representative and to Rob Migliaccio for taking awesome photos all weekend long that will be posted soon. Great racing and sportsmanship by all.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
