The first race of the day began at 10:15 in the Indian River Lagoon. The conditions for the first three races had 12 knts consistent breeze and the highest recorded gust reaching 16 knts. With the wind coming from west-northwest in the morning there was consistent oscillating wind shifts of 5-10 degrees in either direction.
After the first set, all boats went in for a short lunch break around 11:10 and were back out on the water at 11:40.
The second and third set were done back to back with rotations on the water and saw much trickier conditions. The average wind direction shifted true to northwest. Wind shifts of up to 30 degrees in either direction were seen and the wind speed varied wildly from 5 knts up to 13 knts. All races in the day were on a W-4 course. Racing was concluded at 14:10.
