Open Atlantic Coast Championships Round 1A

Summary

Saturday, October 7:

Great sailing conditions on the Charles River with 6-12 knots out of the ESE for all of the racing. A few rain squalls midday but otherwise dry weather.

10 races were sailed in each division with racing ending at 5pm. One protest was disallowed for submitted after the time limit.

Thanks to judges Kelsey Wheeler, Trevor Long and Emily Haig. Races were managed by Mike Kanare, Aine O'Donnell and MIT Varsity Coach Mike Kalin.

Sunday, October 8:

A breezy day on the Charles River with a 10-20 knot westerly breeze, sunny skies and temps iun the mid 60's. Four races were run in each division and racing concluded at noon.

Yale extended their lead with great battles for first in each division and for the top 9 placing to move on to the ACC's Finals at St. Mary's College in 2 weeks.

Big thanks to judges Trevor Long and Kelsey Wheeler. Races were run by PRO Matt Lindblad and MIT assistant coaches Mike Kanare and Aine O'Donnell. MIT Dockmaster Dan Tucker helped shoreside.
